Research Highlight

Impact of ENSO on variability of AIRS retrieved CO2 over India

  • Anomalous distribution of AIRS CO2 during ENSO events over India.
  • Positive (negative) correlations between NINO indices and CO2 during JJAS (OND).
  • Increasing SSTs over NINO4 and NINO3.4 correspond to increasing CO2 over India.
  • Clear dominance of SSTs over NINO region on the variability of CO2 over India.
